Nike Air Force 1 A Ma Maniére “Hand Wash Cold” Release Date
November 17, 2019 – For James Whitner, the common directive found on luxury clothing labels, “Hand Wash Cold,” is more than just an instruction for care. Whitner’s A Ma Maniére boutiques, in Atlanta, Houston and Washington, D.C., channel their namesake — which translates from French to “my way” — as ethos, a reminder to treat the things you care about with an unwavering respect. This materializes in the stores and the related community work and experience at each location, and also in the new Nike Air Force 1 A Ma Maniére “Hand Wash Cold.”
“The shoe tells a story of giving and giving back,” says Whitner. “Everything luxury should be taken care of, and lives in communities are delicate.”
At A Ma Maniére there is emphasis on creating change in each location’s adjacent community. For example, in D.C., where the boutique also houses a boutique hotel, support is granted to child homelessness causes. A restaurant highlights the Houston store, and the local beneficiary is a food bank. In each, Whitner wants to balance aspiration with action.
“What we do is all about youth culture and experiences,” he says. “You always have to connect with the kids. If you aren’t, you are not rooted in the culture.”
The Nike Air Force 1 has been a constant in Whitner’s rotation, understood for its duality as both an aspirational product and streetwear staple.
“The AF1 was our choice of shoe before we found luxury. We have to put a luxury expression on it, but do it in a way that feels uniquely ours. I wanted the shoe to look like it fits next to the brands in A Ma Maniére, but still feels natural and true to Air Force 1,” says Whitner.
A suede wrap to the midsole, along with other high-touch accents, makes the AF1 A Ma Maniére, the experiences Whitner promotes balanced in the silhouette’s democratic base and its symbolic veneering. 2020 Men’s Nike Air Force 1 High A Ma Maniere CT6665-001 For Sale
The AF1 A Ma Maniére releases in both high and low versions. Each respective pair is individually numbered , for, as Whitner notes, “transparency and collectablilty.” Both high and low release December 7 at all A Ma Maniére locations and on SNKRS in North America.
The low will also be available at select stores in U.S. and Canada: Social Status, APB, Concepts, Bodega, Creme, Shoe Gallery, UNKNWN, Trophy Room, Politics, Xhibition, Corporate, Oneness, Rooted, Sole Classics, Undefeated, Bait, Darkside Initiative, Feature, Likelihood, Livestock, Xclucity and Haven.
October 19, 2021 – The 2021 Día de Muertos pack joins the Lucha Libre capsule in recognizing one of Mexico’s most important traditions through a collection of legacy silhouettes and apparel. The pack focuses on Siempre Familia , describing the unbreakable bond of families. The collection is another example of how Nike sees local expressions as the means to share culture across the world and invite everyone into sport.
Through a bright array of colors and reflective treatments, the patterns on the shoes — including an Air Force 1 and an Air Jordan 1 — illustrate the sensation of Mictlán , the journey of nine levels that celebrates the infinite power of family connection with loved ones. The Air Force 1 features an embroidered Swoosh with colorful pigments and a Siempre Familia graphic is printed on the insole in remembrance to family members. The Air Jordan 1 presents a bright jaguar print, a multicolor embroidered Swoosh with an arrow, and the words Siempre and Familia stamped on each tongue.
The apparel includes a bomber jacket and a collection of T-shirts. The graphic details combine Nike symbols with illustrations borrowed from Mictlán , such as skulls and bones, the Xolo dog , symbolic creatures like the jaguar, iguana and more.
The 2021 Día de Muertos collection releases October 24 on SNKRS in Mexico, October 26 on the Nike App in Mexico and October 29 globally.
September 22, 2021 – The Air Max 90 Latino Heritage Month focuses on the importance of the family unit in Latino culture and celebrates the power of community through heritage silhouettes.
This comes through in the technicolor print featured on the shoe’s upper, an ode to the expressive, family-oriented bond shared across Latino culture. The word Familia is printed on the sock liner and across the lateral side of the shoe. A further nod to the inclusivity of family: The shoe is available in full family sizing.
The idea of authentic cultural representation is a recurrent Nike footwear theme, following releases of the Lucha Libre collection and the Air Max 97 Puerto Rico earlier this year.
The Air Max 90 LHM releases September 29 on nike.com and at select retailers.

September 09, 2021 – The Jordan Brand Holiday 2021 Retro Footwear collection brings outdoor utility to fresh, seasonal color twists, creating a lineup ready to be worn in and out of the cold. Among the highlights are multiple women’s-exclusive styles and four iterations of the Nike Air Jordan I.
Women’s Air Jordan I HI OG Inspired by the light pink hues of bubble gum, this women’s exclusive features a mix of matte nubuck and patent leather. The bubble gum reference inspires subtle detailing, including a printed bubble gum splat on the bottom of the outsole. The shoe, which will release in PS and TD sizing, also comes with a hangtag and elevated packaging.
Women’s Air Jordan V Another women’s exclusive, this colorway takes inspiration from bluebird days. This model is highlighted by various shades of blue combined with soft nubuck and clear TPU eye stays. The shoe is completed by an iced-out translucent outsole.
Women’s Air Jordan XIV Low The shocking-pink color scheme of the Women’s Air Jordan XIV Low is charged by Jordan Brand’s belief in being boldly and unapologetically yourself. The model applies shaggy and glossy suede and features black gloss accents and a translucent pink outsole.
Air Jordan I HI OG This seasonal take uses a combination of materials and color choices to apply a new twist to the silhouette. Some highlights include reflective silver underlays, a burnished leather Wings logo, two-toned dyed laces, and exposed stitching throughout the genuine nubuck leather upper. This release comes in men’s sizing and extended sizing for women.
Air Jordan I HI OG With familiar color blocking, this Air Jordan I HI OG applies patent leather to an iconic colorway and arrives in time for the New Year. The shoe comes with a metallic red Jumpman hangtag and a glossy, patent-like box. This model releases in full family and extended sizing.
Air Jordan I HI OG With a similar look and feel to the Air Jordan I HI OG CO.JP, this rendition replaces Midnight Navy with a recognizable Bordeaux color. The shoe features a jewel Wings logo and silver Swoosh and adds a nylon tongue with a stitched Nike Air woven label. The model comes in men’s and grade school sizing and extended sizing for women.
Air Jordan III Retro Applying a familiar Pine Green and color-blocking scheme, this Air Jordan III Retro comes with a subtle material twist. The shoe features genuine nubuck leather throughout the upper, tongue, collar and eye stays, and a 3D embroidered Jumpman logo on the tongue. This model, which comes with new packaging, releases in full family sizing.
Air Jordan III Retro This new iteration employs rain, leaf and woodland camouflage patterns on various rugged materials such as twill, waxed canvas and ripstop. The shoe also features a removable hook-and-loop fastener patch on the heel tab. The model comes in men’s extended sizing.
Air Jordan V Retro Featuring a premium leather upper that develops a beautiful patina over time, this Air Jordan V also has vintage oxidized outsoles, eyelets and lace toggles. Complemented by an OG reflective tongue with Desert Sand accents on the midsole and sock liner, the model releases in men’s and grade school sizing.
Air Jordan IX Retro Arriving in flooded Chile Red, this seasonal take on the Air Jordan IX features a quilted stitched upper atop a glossy midsole with a patent leather mudguard. This model comes in OG packaging and is available in men’s and grade school sizing.
Air Jordan XII Retro This iteration applies hits of metallic gold on the eyelets and midsole throughout a white upper and black midsole and outsole. The shoe features genuine leather complemented by the OG faux-lizard-print mudguard. This offering comes with black and white lace sets and arrives in OG packaging with a color twist. The model releases in full family sizing.
Air Jordan XIII Retro This retro take combines a familiar Court Purple colorway with classic, OG materials. True to form with a leather upper, microfiber tongue and cat-eye hologram, this model comes in OG packaging with a subtle color twist and is available in a full family offering.
Air Jordan XIV Retro This iteration combines a premium, vacuum-molded upper with water-resistant, winterized suede. Featuring a matte finish on the midsole, this model is highlighted by subtle Chile Red detailing and custom silicone emblems on the heel. The shoe releases in men’s sizing.
September 09, 2021 – In this corner: A new Lucha Libre footwear and apparel collection inspired by the fabled wrestling culture, complete with loud masks, boisterous costumes and a dose of showmanship.
The footwear blends exotic leathers and rich textiles to create fun detail applications. The collection’s Air Force 1 comes in a metallic leather upper with a removable synthetic mask on the left and right shoe, forming the left and right eye slots. The Blazer has a satiny woven upper, faux snakeskin paneling, and lacing inspired by the back lacing of a wrestling mask. The gold is a take on boots worn by luchadores in the golden era of the 1950s and ’60s. The Air Max 90 comes in a bisected black and white color scheme, a nod to famous Lucha Libre rivalries pitting good against evil, or “Los Técnicos vs. Los Rudos.” The vamp comes in a textured woven material, and the mudguard in patent leather.
The apparel silhouettes include two styles of hoodies and a t-shirt, featuring graphics and material treatments borrowed from Lucha Libre culture, including masks and posters.
The designs are created from a serious respect for observation that is at the heart of Nike GEL products. The folkloric ensemble of masks and costumes forms a true artistic tradition in Mexican culture; in Mexico City, Lucha Libre is considered an intangible cultural symbol, bringing people together.
“We see sharing cultural expressions as a way of creating relationships,” says Carlos Hernández, Mexico City Merchandising Director for Geo Express Lane. “When you’re deeply invested in a culture, you share its passions and interests. By paying close attention to Lucha Libre tradition, we get to use footwear and apparel to share a piece of Mexican culture with the world in places like Seoul, Tokyo, Brazil and more. With a number of Mexico GEL collections releasing soon, we’re creating the product with that same imaginative focus on cultural detail.”
Nike Air Force 1 Mid 07 LV8 2 Have A Nice Day
The apparel borrows from wrestling lore, adding graphics and material treatments pulled from luchador outfits and paraphernalia, like posters. The silhouettes include two styles of hoodie and a t-shirt.
The collection releases September 11 on SNKRS in Mexico, September 14 on the Nike App in Mexico, and September 17 globally.

August 17, 2021 – Twenty years ago, Rick Owens viewed sneakers as “pedestrian, suburban banality.” Then he started going to the gym. He started considering how to make sneakers more him . With the Converse x DRKSHDW TURBOWPN, the classic 1986 Converse Weapon is reframed. The vibe is pure Owens.
Exaggerating both the upper and tooling, his signature touch augments the familiar lines and the shoe is made bombastic. “When I discovered how powerful just oversizing something a little bit was, which I’ve done with a lot of my clothes, that became one of my tools,” Owens says.
The shoe features an elongated tongue, mirroring the TURBODRK Chuck 70 . The Weapon’s outsole is nearly doubled in the TURBOWPN, forming a platform-like stance. Within, the TURBOWPN houses a CX foam drop-in and subtly reinforced toe box.
Another Owens signature is the inclusion of his DRKSHDW iconography. “One of the main things that I think it suggests is empathy and consideration of systems of living that might not be standard,” he says.
The launch black colorway reflects the Weapon’s original debut, and underscores Owens’ approach to contemporary luxury.
The Converse x DRKSHDW TURBOWPN releases August 31 at converse.com , RickOwens.eu , Rick Owens shops and select retailers.
July 05, 2021 – For visionary Nike leader Sandy Bodecker, embracing skateboarding was a tacit nod to the sport’s power to change the way people view potential. Throughout its history, skateboarding has challenged the status quo. Whether in reimagining empty pools or spotting discrete runs within cityscapes, skateboarders have given fresh life to the built environment — realizing new styles, tricks and techniques along the way. The sport’s dynamic evolution has led to inclusion in Tokyo this summer, and even as it reaches a new competitive height, the sport never falters in celebrating the joys of creativity .
Fittingly, the Nike SB Sandy ZoomX Bruin honors Bodecker’s vision and skateboarding’s verve.
The shoe’s engineering drafts from another boundary-pushing Bodecker project , the quest to break the 2-hour marathon barrier and the subsequent invention of NEXT% running technology. Bodecker believed there was application of the idea to skateboarding, and the Nike SB Sandy ZoomX Bruin transfers that belief through athlete-led insight to deliver the most comprehensive skate competition tool imaginable.
At its core is a drop-in midsole combining the ultra-resilient Nike ZoomX foam for cushioning and a full-length carbon fiber plate for pop. It’s radical, for sure, but also discretely hidden within the decades-favored classic Bruin silhouette. Another progressive twist, again drawn from Breaking2, is a skateboarding-first Flyknit upper, formed from material that has been custom-printed with Mark Smith’s “Blue Sky Dreamer” portrait of Bodecker, which hangs in The Bodecker Foundation space in Portland, Ore.
The Nike SB Sandy ZoomX Bruin will be available in a limited release in Tokyo this summer.
“Color has the nuanced ability to invite both reaction and reflection at once,” says Martha Moore, Nike VP, Central Color Product Design. “You see a color, and you immediately react in a certain way. Color can also open the door to history, connections to other disciplines and to memory. In creating this year’s palette, we worked to consider color holistically to best represent a moment in time.”
Nike designers looked to historical precedent — moments in time when world events put sport on hold — and the spirit that flourished upon its triumphant return. The Rawdacious colorway symbolizes that exuberance of reuniting through sport in the palette’s warm tones, signaling new beginnings.
The palette is grounded in a white base to connote unity as well as a return to square one. The layout of colors also act as a beacon to draw attention to the footwear’s technical components. For example, the visible Zoom Air bag in Nike Running silhouettes like the Air Zoom Maxfly sprint spike are highlighted by volt green and bordered and exaggerated by orange detailing. Similar to negative space in art, says Moore, it’s through white space that other parts of the object can sing.
The result is a color system that Moore says instills a deeper meaning for athletes, whether that athlete is running for gold or just around the block.
“Let’s be clear: I’ll never, ever wear a track spike to compete in a race,” says Moore. “But I would wear a lifestyle, color-related model of a spike because something about it spoke to me at a specific time in my life. It was meaningful to the world, and it was meaningful to me. Color can distill all of those values in a millisecond.”
The Rawdacious colorway of select performance and lifestyle products will release on nike.com throughout the summer.
June 29, 2021 – The Zoom Freak 3 is built for creating space through radical downhill angles. The shoe’s tech supports the dominant physicality that defines Giannis Antetokounmpo’s style of play and helps to progress his Euro step, which the power forward uses to warp the distance between his body and the basket.
“One of the hallmarks of his athleticism is transferring energy quickly from leg to leg to maneuver his body through gaps,” says Ross Klein, Sr. Creative Director for Men’s Performance Footwear at Nike. “Giannis works his foot like a gas and brake. He also works all different angles of his foot as he’s driving to the basket, so we wanted to contour the design to fit the way he transitions from step to step.”
To that end, two Zoom Air units under the ball of the foot help absorb energy and provide responsiveness. The set-up is low to the ground, which means the foot is in closer contact with the floor, leading to tight control for searing downhill attacks. The engineered upper helps keep Antetokounmpo’s foot contained, while the strap helps lock down the forefoot, making sure his center of gravity won’t slide over the footbed. The outsole takes inspiration from one of Nike basketball’s most recognizable traction patterns.
The black and purple Project 34 colorway and the orange Freak colorway of the Zoom Freak 3 releases globally July 1 and in North America in August.
June 17, 2021 – This fall’s Air Jordan retro preview is headlined by the return of the OG Air Jordan XI Low IE in red and black, a variation renowned for its seasonal adaptation through material updates — and for its appearance during the ’96 playoffs. Similarly, four women’s exclusive styles for this season feature revised color palettes and material choices for new, energized interpretations of classic models.
Air Jordan XI Low IE A final chapter of the 25th anniversary of the Air Jordan XI, the OG black and red Air Jordan XI Low IE returns, re-engineered to the exact 1995 specs. The model features a genuine leather and mesh upper, molded sock liner and an exposed carbon fiber shank plate contrasted by the recognizable herringbone rubber outsole. The shoe arrives in OG packaging.
Women’s Air Jordan I Hi OG Inspired by the calming colors of sage, this women’s exclusive style features soft, tumbled leather with premium nubuck overlays. Completing the look is a subtle, two-toned lace inspired by the string used to tie bundles of sage. The shoe also comes with a hangtag and two extra sets of laces.
Women’s Air Jordan IV This women’s exclusive style takes inspiration from varying neutral shades of makeup. This model is highlighted by buttery soft nubuck overlays and burnished leather meant to age and sheen naturally with time. The shoe also features transparent TPU wings and lace locks and is topped off by metallic, electroplated Jumpman branding on the tongue, reminiscent of the mirrors used in makeup palettes.
Women’s Air Jordan VI Taking inspiration from gold earrings, this women’s exclusive adds interconnected gold hoops that are attached to the shoe’s Air Jordan VI lace toggle. Materials on this model include white medium grain tumbled leather with gold underlays, a semi-gloss lining and a milky-white translucent rubber outsole.
Women’s Air Jordan XIV Low The women’s exclusive style features a color palette inspired by red lipstick. Materials like matte nubuck and suede leather provide the cosmetic base against metallic silver accents, while OG elements include the tongue and the laces with frosted-platinum aglets. The writing on the sockliner is modeled after strokes of lipstick; the shoe arrives in lipstick-stained tissue paper.
Air Jordan I HI OG Employing a fresh, seasonal color scheme, this Air Jordan I HI OG features a genuine black leather upper with premium Pollen leather overlays and detailing atop a white midsole and a Pollen rubber outsole. The shoe comes with new packaging and will be available in full family and extended women’s sizing.
